{"id":26080,"date":"2017-05-31T13:48:11","date_gmt":"2017-05-31T13:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/optogenerapy-esclerosi\/"},"modified":"2017-05-31T15:19:23","modified_gmt":"2017-05-31T15:19:23","slug":"optogenerapy-esclerosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/es\/optogenerapy-esclerosis\/","title":{"rendered":"Eurecat desenvolupar\u00e0 implants bioelectr\u00f2nics per tractar l\u2019esclerosi"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><u>31 DE MAYO, D\u00cdA MUNDIAL DE LA ESCLEROSIS M\u00daLTIPLE<\/u><\/h2>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Eurecat desarrollar\u00e1 implantes bioelectr\u00f3nicos para tratar la esclerosis m\u00faltiple<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>El consorcio Optogenerapy trabaja en un dispositivo de terapia celular optogen\u00e9tica que producir\u00e0 principios activos.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Investigadores catalanes pondr\u00e1n a punto tecnolog\u00eda desarrollada por la Escuela Federal Polit\u00e9cnica de Suiza (ETHZ), socia del consorcio.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>El implante mejorar\u00e1 el tratamiento y evitar\u00e1 inyecciones peri\u00f3dicas a los pacientes de esclerosis, mejorando as\u00ed su calidad de vida.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Barcelona, 31 de mayo de 2017.-<\/u><\/strong> Investigadores del centro tecnol\u00f3gico <a href=\"http:\/\/eurecat.org\/es\/\">Eurecat<\/a> (miembro de Tecnio) han comenzado a trabajar en el consorcio Optogenerapy para desarrollar implantes de terapia celular optogen\u00e9tica mediante electr\u00f3nica impresa con materiales biocompatibles que permitir\u00e1n administrar dosis de prote\u00ednas terap\u00e9uticas en pacientes con esclerosis m\u00faltiple, una enfermedad que afecta a 2,3 millones de personas a nivel mundial y 700.000 europeos.<\/p>\n<p>El implante, que se basa en tecnolog\u00eda desarrollada en la Escuela Federal Polit\u00e9cnica de Suiza, en Basilea, libera el principio activo del medicamento mediante una activaci\u00f3n con luz LED infrarroja, que activa la producci\u00f3n de prote\u00ednas terap\u00e9uticas por parte de c\u00e9lulas modificadas gen\u00e9ticamente, presentes en el dispositivo.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Esther Hurtos, coordinadora del consorcio, \u00abOptogenerapy permitir\u00e1 una terapia m\u00e1s eficiente y menos invasiva para los pacientes de esclerosis m\u00faltiple, que evitar\u00e1n las inyecciones peri\u00f3dicas a las que ahora se someter\u00e1n y mejorar\u00e1n su calidad de vida\u00bb gracias a una \u00abterapia m\u00e1s eficiente\u00bb y a una \u00abmejor adherencia a la medicaci\u00f3n\u00bb (eficiencia del tratamiento), que actualmente se sit\u00faa entre el 50 y el 75 por ciento en el caso de enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas.<\/p>\n<p>Hurtos destaca que \u00abla terapia optogen\u00e9tica de Optogenerapy reducir\u00e1 los costes directos e indirectos del tratamiento para la esclerosis a medio plazo\u00bb y evitar\u00e1 \u00ablos gastos de no adherencia al tratamiento\u00bb, que fueron de 255,4 millones de euros el a\u00f1o 2015 en el conjunto de Europa.<\/p>\n<p>El consorcio, liderado por Eurecat, tiene una duraci\u00f3n de 36 meses en su primera fase de desarrollo y cuenta con once socios de siete pa\u00edses europeos, entre centros de investigaci\u00f3n, universidades y empresas especializadas, entre las que se encuentran dos spin-offs de Eurecat, Neos Surgery y Ultrasion, y el centro suizo ETHZ.
