Miriam Carolina Pérez Cova, project partner from ACCIONA, participated in the XIV International AEDyR Congress, organised by the Spanish Association of Desalination and Water Reuse (AEDyR) and held in Tenerife (Spain) on June 24-26, 2025.
On June 26, she delivered the presentation “Life Pristine: A comprehensive solution for the elimination of emerging pollutants in the water cycle”, introducing the project’s integrated solution aiming to eliminate up to 80% of contaminants of emerging concern from water streams. Moreover, she introduced the results from the water analytical campaign performed in the first stages of the project in both wastewater and drinking water demonstration sites, and some first results from the demonstration at a wastewater treatment plant in Spain, which is still on going.
This talk was included in the programme of technical session 13 “Facing the knowledge and elimination of emerging contaminants”, moderated by Adolfo León and Antonio Casañas.
The XIV International AEDyR Congress brought together national and international experts in desalination, reuse and water treatment from companies throughout the value chain of the sector.
The aim of the event was to promote collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experience. Moreover, the latest research, innovations and technological advances in these technologies were presented.
