The company has developed an innovative safety belt for industrial vehicles and has partnered with Eurecat as a technology ally to turn the device’s functional concept into a viable product.
Eurecat is working alongside Belttech Solutions, a start-up dedicated to workplace safety, on the design, optimisation, and validation of an intelligent system that ensures proper use of safety belts in heavy industrial vehicles.
The intelligent safety belt monitors in real time whether the operator has fastened it correctly, as well as vehicle vibrations and ergonomics. The collected data is sent to the cloud and analysed using artificial intelligence, generating real-time alerts, for example, if the belt is not properly fastened, and producing customised reports to improve operational efficiency.
The intelligent system is aligned with the new European safety regulations, coming into force in 2027. It is currently in the manufacturing phase and ready for market launch.
