The MARBEL project invites you to participate in its first workshop targeting automotive suppliers regarding recyclability and the application of circular economy approaches for a more sustainable and lightweight automotive sector on June 23.
During the workshop, held by TAYSAD, the Automotive Suppliers Association of Turkey, in collaboration with ASAŞ, we will focus on sharing how we are tackling the use of recycled metal materials in the MARBEL project, the benefits and the steps and processes for the development of an easy-to-dismantle, refurbish, and repurpose battery housing. Specifically, we will delve into the use of aluminum for automotive components, as well as a methodology to ensure that Electric Vehicle batteries’ materials, such as cobalt, lithium or nickel, can be repurposed for second-life applications.
Finally, the attendees will be able to take part in a workshop with organisations across the automotive value chain to identify the needs, barriers and challenges for a greater adoption of recycled materials and circular economy processes in automotive components.
