SuPreAM & NewAIMS Workshop

SuPreAM & NewAIMS Workshop

Join the workshop “Optimization of Microstructure and Surface Integrity of Steels to Tackle New Challenges in Additive Manufacturing, organized by Eurecat within the framework of the European projects SuPreAM and NewAIMS.

The event will bring together experts in advanced materials to present the latest and most relevant advances in the study and application of high-performance steels in additive manufacturing processes. The workshop will offer a space for scientific debate, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of international collaborations, with the goal of improving the mechanical properties and reliability of components produced using these emerging technologies.

The SuPreAM project is developing new predictive models and process optimization strategies for surface finishing operations, aiming to strengthen additive manufacturing in the steel industry, reduce defects and manufacturing costs, and minimize waste generation. Meanwhile, the NewAIMS  project focuses on the development of strategies and technologies to produce high-performance steel through metal 3D printing, integrating additive manufacturing into a more efficient and competitive production process.

Both projects are coordinated by Eurecat and supported by the European Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS).

Event language: English.
*On-site attendance only
