CitySens and Eurecat apply 3D printing to the manufacturing of sustainable plant pots

CitySens and Eurecat have collaborated on the development of sustainable plant pots using 3D printing. Specifically, Eurecat’s advanced manufacturing unit has been responsible for selecting sustainable materials that reduce environmental impact and promote a circular economy, validating additive manufacturing as a suitable technology for pot production, and ensuring that the materials used provide the required mechanical properties. Additionally, the technology centre has trained CitySens team to master 3D printing technology and optimise production costs.

The new sustainable plant pots produced with 3D printing are already on the market, decorating spaces with innovative designs and reflecting a strong commitment to the environment.
