Eurecat became its technological partner after an initial meeting at a trade fair in the industrial sector.
Herraiz has collaborated with Eurecat on the reconceptualisation, design, material selection, manufacturing, and laboratory testing of a prototype cooling vest that helps mitigate heat stress when working under direct sunlight or in high‑temperature environments.
The vest features high‑performance fabrics with cooling properties, providing the user with greater comfort and helping to reduce heat stress throughout its eight-hour autonomy.
Experts from Eurecat’s Functional Fabrics and Functional Printing areas have taken part in studying the optimal materials and carrying out laboratory tests to validate the performance of the prototype.
