Innovation with Carinsa to develop new services and disruptive products for perfumery and food

Carinsa is a company founded in 1993 that is specialized in the creation, production, and commercialization of flavours for human and animal nutrition and fragrances for detergents and cosmetics. In 2018, Carinsa had a turnover of 44 million euros, and part of its success is based on its commitment to innovation. The business group dedicates 20% of the annual budget to R+D. Carinsa participates with universities, research centres and other companies in projects of high technological value to create new products, services, and business models.

Currently, Carinsa collaborates with Eurecat in more than a dozen R+D projects. One of the projects, Preventomics, is aimed at training consumers to prevent the onset of diet-related diseases. ECOSOFT project analyses the life cycle of the microencapsulation process of fragrances for fabric softeners. And FUN-@ACTIVE project investigates the microencapsulation of active ingredients for its application in fabrics for specific treatments.
