The LIFE PRISTINE project was present at the 7th IWA International Conference on Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP7), held on April 8-10, 2025, at DECHEMA headquarters in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).
Dr. Philipp Sperle from Xylem Water Solutions delivered a presentation entitled “The Combination of Ozone and UV as a Promising Alternative Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) When Using UV-LEDs,” introducing one of the technologies making up the LIFE PRISTINE integrated solution.
The talk showcased PRISTINE’s work in integrating ozone and UV-LED technology to enhance AOP efficiency, offering a sustainable approach to tackling contaminants of emerging concern (CECs).
Organised by the IWA Specialist Group AOP and Dechema, this event brought together more than 120 experts from 30 different countries to explore the latest advancements in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for water and wastewater treatment.
AOP7 served as a prime platform for PRISTINE to highlight its innovative contributions to sustainable water management, focusing on effective solutions for contaminant removal. The next AOP8 is planned in April 2027 in Frankfurt.
