The foundry company MTG is collaborating with Eurecat to develop a digital twin that improves the efficiency of excavators in mining operations and construction sites, with the aim of optimizing the efficiency, productivity, and safety of production cycles.
The solution, called Digging Monitor, integrates connectivity into cable shovels and excavators through sensors and artificial intelligence technologies, enabling the measurement and analysis of machine cycle times.
Monitoring and detailed knowledge of loading operations make it possible to ensure maximum efficiency and achieve a higher number of tons with lower resource usage and costs, while also guaranteeing the reliability, safety, and sustainability of the activity.
