Míriam Pérez and Aina Soler, LIFE PRISTINE partners and project managers at the Innovation Department from ACCIONA Agua, took part in the XIV edition of the scientific communication and dissemination conferences (Gutenberg Campus). This event was held at the Science Museum CosmoCaixa in Barcelona (Spain) on September 18th-19th, 2024.
On September 18th, they presented the LIFE PRISTINE project in their talk “Communication in times of drought: reducing barriers and eliminating myths to facilitate the adoption of alternative water sources”. In particular, they gave an overview of the initiative and provided insights into the main challenges in relation to communication and reclaimed water.
Moreover, they shared a questionnaire asking the attendees about different aspects to find out the public’s level of knowledge about reused water.
The presentation was included in the session “Communicate the drought”, moderated by José María Montero from Canal Sur Televisión.
The Gutenberg Campus – CosmoCaixa Science Museum consists of a series of conferences offered annually, free of charge, to scientific communication professionals to update their knowledge and discuss the challenges of science communication and dissemination.
Each edition of these scientific communication, dissemination and culture conferences addresses a central theme. This year’s theme was drought, how we are informing the population and what we can do through public communication to address this serious and urgent problem.
