1) Data controller

Fundación Centro Tecnológico Eurecat Latam (“Eurecat Latam”) is responsible for the processing of personal data collected through its corporate channels for the purposes described in this Policy.The processing is carried out in accordance with Law No. 19,628 on the Protection of Private Life and is in accordance with the standards of Law No. 21,719.

2) Personal data processed

We collect the personal data strictly necessary for each purpose:

  • Identification and contact: name, surname, RUT (if applicable), email, telephone.
  • Relationship to events/activities: company/position (if applicable), attendance preferences, schedules, logistical needs (e.g., access, catering).
  • Sensitive data: not requested for these purposes. In exceptional cases (e.g. accessibility), they will be requested only on the basis of enabling lawfulness and reinforced measures.

3) Purposes and bases of lawfulness

  1. A) Sending commercial information (marketing)
  • Purpose: to send newsletters, promotions, news, invitations and commercial content of the Company.
  • Basis of lawfulness: free, specific, informed and unequivocal consent of the owner (optin).
  • Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the prior lawfulness.
  1. B) Registration and attendance at events/activities
  • Purpose: to manage registrations, accreditations, operational communications (e.g. reminders, agenda changes), capacity control and post-event attention.
  • Basis of legality: execution of contract or pre-contractual measures (management of registration/attendance), and when applicable legitimate interest of the Company (event security, access control) with guarantees and balance assessment.
  1. C) Website contact form
  • Purpose: to respond to queries, requests for information and requirements sent by the user.
  • Basis of legality: pre-contractual measures (if the consultation is about services) or legitimate interest (communication management and general support), with respect to the right to object.

4) Obtaining consent (marketing)

Consent is obtained by:

  • Opt-in forms with unchecked boxes.
  • Electronic mechanisms that leave a record of acceptance.

The owner may revoke consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link present in each communication or by writing to legal@eurecatlatam.org].

5) Recipients and processors

Data may be processed by providers acting as processors (e.g. email marketing platforms, CRM, event ticketing, web hosting), under contract, with confidentiality and security obligations.

6) International transfers

If we use services hosted outside of Chile (e.g., global email platforms or event registration), we ensure adequate safeguards and compliance with the requirements of Law 21.719 on international transfers when it comes into force.

7) Retention periods

  • Marketing: while consent is in force and until it is revoked.
  • Events/activities: for the duration of the relationship (registration/attendance) and for the necessary periods for post-event care and legal obligations.
  • Web contacts: for the time necessary to manage the request and maintain reasonable operational traceability.

Then, the data is deleted, anonymized or blocked as appropriate, respecting the principles of purpose and quality of data of Law 19,628.

8) Rights of the owner

The holder may exercise:

  • Access to your data, where it comes from and its recipients.
  • Rectification of inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Cancellation/Deletion in appropriate cases.
  • Objection to processing (especially marketing).
  • Revocation of consent (marketing).

9) Information Security

Eurecat Latam implements reasonable technical and organisational measures (access control, encryption/secure channels, incident management, confidentiality agreements) to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, in line with good public practices.

10) Cancellation of communications and alternative channels

Each commercial email will include an “Unsubscribe” link or clear instructions for revoking consent. The cancellation is processed immediately or within the applicable legal period.
