Open Day on Technological infrastructures for the digitalization of the agricultural sector
Digitization is a necessary innovation and sustainability factor to improve competitiveness in the agricultural and is a key component of any regional strategic agenda in the world. Likewise, the agricultural sector needs a strong and excellent digital industry which can effectively fulfil end users’ needs to create employment and wealth. This is why investment is required to promote initiatives that can optimize and accelerate industrial innovation in order to position and differentiate European regions.
The European Commission defines a Testing and Experimental Facility as a differential tool formed by a network of testing nodes to increase technological readiness level. The objective of these infrastructures is to help technology providers to develop new technological solutions and bring them closer to the market in validating them in real environments.
During this open day, producers, companies, and research entities will present their experiences and best practices in validating digital solutions and will discuss the benefits and service portfolio of Testing and Experimentation Facilities for the agricultural sector.
