Jordi Gallardo, the Andorran Minister of the Presidency, Economy and Business, and Miquel Rey, Eurecat’s Corporate Director of Business Development, inked a cooperation agreement this Friday for future projects between Eurecat and Andorra Research + Innovation.
The understanding will deliver synergies between the parties in research and innovation projects in several areas targeting new technologies, the circular economy, tourism, sports and health along with other thematic areas of common interest. “We’re going to set up innovation projects in emerging technologies and connect Andorra’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem with the services of Catalonia’s premier technology centre which cannot be developed here because of Andorra’s size,” said Jordi Gallardo at the signing ceremony
“The agreement furnishes Andorra Research + Innovation with Eurecat’s advanced digital, industrial, biotech and sustainability capabilities and expertise to grow and operate as a technology accelerator,” added Miquel Rey. “This will turn innovation into a lever for making the economic and business community and the country more competitive.”
