Eurecat Innova, the joint technology innovation and development unit run by the Eurecat technology centre and the Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation Foundation (Innova IRV), has appointed Verónica Ramírez del Valle, PhD in Science from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), as its new director as part of its commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to make the economy and industry in Malaga and Andalusia more competitive.
Trained in business administration and innovation management at San Telmo Business School and EOI Business School, Verónica Ramírez del Valle has extensive experience in strategic consulting and delivering support services for innovation and business development in both the public and private sectors.
“In Malaga, we approach the Andalusian business community with the purpose of accelerating innovation to make it more competitive by working with all stakeholders in the Andalusian innovation ecosystem,” she says.
Verónica Ramírez del Valle brings to Eurecat Innova the experience she has gained from the various positions she has held as director in projects, operations, strategy and business development.
Over the course of her career, Eurecat Innova’s new director has contributed to the development of Andalusia’s innovation ecosystem through the Andalusian Technology Spaces Network and to the competitive positioning of its cities’ industry through the Smart City Cluster. She is also the Spanish representative in the “Smart and Sustainable Cities” sector under the international G100 initiative: Group of 100 Global Women Leaders in 100 impact sectors.
