The Eurecat technology centre (a member of Tecnio) has opened the second round of applications for the Vicente López scholarship programme, which will offer 19 pre-doctoral contracts this year. The aim of the programme is to promote the production of doctoral theses and increase scientific knowledge in the fields of industry, digital technology and biotechnology, in order to boost technology transfer within the industrial sphere.
The 19 pre-doctoral contracts on offer this year are linked to the production of doctoral theses at Eurecat, on a full-time basis, in the fields of cyber-security, omic sciences, data science and big data analytics, generative design and 3D printing, functional printing, and artificial intelligence with a focus on multi-sector applications in the areas of healthcare, industry, robotics, energy and tourism.
“The Vicente López programme is an example of Eurecat’s drive to contribute to the creation of talent that is focused on raising the bar of technological innovation, in order to generate value for both companies and society”, said Lluís Arola, Eurecat’s scientific director.
