The LIFE PRISTINE project was presented at the Congress on Social Communication of Science (CCSC25) celebrated in Palma de Mallorca from 28 to 30 October 2025.

During the session, Marina Presas head of Research Communication Office at Eurecat, delivered the presentation “Raising Public Awareness of Emerging Contaminants in Water: a 360º Strategy”. The talk introduced the communication strategy developed within LIFE PRISTINE to raise awareness about the risks posed by contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) and to promote responsible daily habits in the use of chemical and pharmaceutical products. The talk highlighted the importance of effective science communication in addressing environmental challenges and encouraging citizen engagement.

The presentation explored the key elements of the campaign, including its narrative approach, communication channels, and actions designed to reach diverse audiences. In addition, the session shared valuable insights gained from the implementation of the campaign and discussed its potential societal impact. The LIFE PRISTINE experience serves as a practical example of how a well-structured, 360-degree communication strategy can contribute to addressing global environmental challenges.

Participation in CCSC25, organised by the Spanish Association of Scientific Communication (AEC), provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate project results, exchange knowledge with science communication professionals, and reinforce LIFE PRISTINE’s commitment to safeguarding water quality through awareness, innovation, and collaboration.
