A platform to support and facilitate clinical communication for women during pregnancy and postpartum.
The ASISTE project is developing a platform to improve support for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period within the hospital environment. The solution facilitates the understanding of clinical information and reinforces adherence to medical recommendations. The tool is based on intelligent recommendation systems to offer personalized educational content according to each user’s profile, needs, and interaction.
In this regard, the system analyzes declarative and usage data to generate contextualized recommendations, prioritize relevant content, and optimize the user experience. Additionally, it incorporates gamification mechanisms and loyalty strategies to boost motivation and ensure continuity in the use of the solution.
Eurecat’s Digital Health unit participates in the project by defining the system’s functional architecture, coordinating the development of the recommendation engine, and establishing technical and methodological validation criteria. Likewise, it ensures the integration of responsible AI principles, model traceability, and risk minimization in content adaptation.
The project includes an initial functional technology validation phase, led by DigimEvo, to evaluate usability, system performance, and identify potential improvements. Subsequently, the prototype will be tested with hospital patients in a clinical pilot. This second phase will be conducted in collaboration with the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau’s Institute Research (IR Sant Pau) to measure the real healthcare impact on women during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
This strategic collaboration between DigimEvo (project coordinator), IR Sant Pau, and Eurecat ensures alignment between healthcare requirements, clinical validation, and the solution’s technological capabilities.
