CIRCOLIVE EURECAT

Valorisation of waste generated in the olive oil value chain.

The CIRCOLIVE project enhances the abilities of businesses on circular economy in the olive oil sector in Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal and Croatia to promote the adoption of circular entrepreneurial models for waste and by-product valorization of the whole olive oil value chain.

In particular, CIRCOLIVE boosts the adaptation of vocational and educational training (VET) provision to emerging business skills needs on circularity by designing transnational curricula.

The project also builds SMEs’ abilities on the implementation of circular business models and on deep tech domains in the agro-food sector, stimulating a sense of initiative entrepreneurial attitudes and mindsets across the olive oil value chain and enabling them to become innovative and more competitive.

Moreover, CIRCOLIVE facilitates the flow and co-creation of knowledge between higher education and vocational and training, research, the public sector and the business sector.

Eurecat participates in the CIRCOLIVE project through its Training Department, responsible for preparing pedagogically efficient content and developing a platform for the distribution of all new educational resources.

The consortium of the initiative is made up of eight partners from the five European countries with the most olive oil production: Greece, Italy, Croatia, Portugal and Spain.
