Representatives from the partners making up the NewAIMS consortium have met in Madrid (Spain) on the occasion of a general assembly meeting, hosted by the Spanish National Center for Metallurgical Research (CENIM-CSIC) and taking place on June 13th, 2024.
During the meeting, the work carried out in the different tasks was presented by project partners, who also discussed the next steps to be taken in the next months of the initiative.
After the discussions, the consortium had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the CENIM-CSIC and discover the facilities and capabilities of the centre.
The NewAIMS project is demonstrating strategies and technologies to profitably obtain high-performance steel through 3D metal printing, with a process that will integrate additive manufacturing with a custom designed steel alloy.
