The Eurecat technology centre has been at Transfiere in Malaga where it underscored the potential of technological innovation and knowledge transfer to businesses and organisations in the R&I ecosystem as a lever for business competitiveness.
Xavier López, Eurecat’s Chief Operating and Corporate Officer, took part in the panel discussion ‘From the idea to the market through knowledge valorisation: alternative approaches for more efficient technology and innovation transfer’ which unpacked alternative approaches to enhance the efficiency of technology and innovation transfer from technology centres to businesses.
“Technological innovation drives the development of new high added value processes, products and services which make it possible to address complex challenges,” he argued.
Eurecat “works very closely with the business, economic and social community to provide access to knowledge and technology infrastructures and thus expedite testing and rolling out breakthrough technologies.”
At the Transfiere forum, Eurecat has also presented in conjunction with Fedit the strategies and tools which make technology centres stand out when transferring new, high impact technologies to businesses.
As an example of its innovations in plastronics and the new mobility, the technology centre has showcased a smart plastic surface just 3 millimetres thick which has an interface that allows users to interact and communicate with a machine, software or intuitive system with built-in LED lighting and capacitive sensors which is expected to be embedded in the central electronic control system of the new generation of cars.
