The Eurecat technology centre is taking part in the SPARTA collaborative community which is to devise and implement cooperative research and innovation actions to enhance European cybersecurity in areas such as health, energy, finance, transport and industry.

The SPARTA project’s main goals are to drive key innovation in this field, provide the resources needed to improve and build up European industry’s cybersecurity and rethink the way cybersecurity innovation, research and training are conducted in the European Union by setting up a network of best-in-class digital security centres.

“Cybersecurity is a must for the competitiveness of businesses”, argues Juan Caubet, Director of Eurecat’s IT & OT Security Unit. “It is also an opportunity for specialisation in a field with great prospects which until now has mainly been led by American and Asian companies”.
