The Eurecat technology centre has been recognised with the Track Record Revolució 4.0 Award in the fourth edition of Radio Catalunya’s Revolució 4.0 Entrepreneurship Awards. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on Catalunya Ràdio next Sunday, 8 May, at 10 pm, the usual broadcast time of the Revolució 4.0 programme directed and presented by Xantal Llavina.

Eurecat’s chair Xavier Torra collected the award from Núria Aymerich, the secretary general of the Foundation for Industry. The award particularly recognises Eurecat’s role ‘as a supplier of industrial technology from Catalonia and as a prime example of talent, motivation, drive and leading the bandwagon for digitalisation so that everyone gets on it’.

In the words of Torra, ‘it just so happens that 7 years ago, the advanced technology centres got together to create Eurecat, the largest technology centre in Catalonia and the second-largest in Spain and, ever since, Eurecat has grown a lot and is focused on making companies more innovative and more prepared to be able to compete better, in an extremely demanding setting that’s ever-changing and full of challenges from the economic, technological, social and environmental point of view’.
