MANUFOW EURECAT

Digital skills and gender equality in the future of manufacturing work.

ManuFoW drives the upskilling of the workforce and the adaptability of manufacturing companies to face digital transformation with a gender equality perspective.

Aiming to close the skills and gender gap in the context of Industry 4.0, the project develops and implements innovative training programmes for current and future employees, as well as executives, across six key technological domains: Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Systems and Automation, IoT and Sensor Technologies, Cloud Computing and Big Data, Cybersecurity, and CAD-CAM and Additive Manufacturing.

The project delivers training modules at three levels —basic digitalisation, Industry 4.0 skills, and advanced competencies— targeting the training of 800 workers in essential digital knowledge, 600 in Industry 4.0 capabilities, and 150 in specialised areas. At the same time, 180 executives from 60 companies are trained to adapt their organisations to technological changes while integrating gender equality as a core principle.

To maximise its impact, ManuFoW fosters dialogue and collaboration spaces among industrial ecosystem stakeholders, promoting knowledge transfer and awareness about the existing gender and skills gaps.

A key activity of the project is conducting a baseline study and needs analysis on the current state of digital transformation in the manufacturing sector, as well as relevant policies and initiatives in Turkey and the European Union. Based on this analysis, a roadmap for digital transformation in Turkish manufacturing is defined.

Project results and knowledge are disseminated through workshops and an international conference, helping position equality and digitalisation as strategic priorities for the future of work.

Eurecat participates in ManuFoW as co-applicant through its Training Department, bringing expertise in applied R&D, technology services, training content development and consultancy. The project is coordinated by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICI).
