OD4SG 2.0

The Open Data for Sport Governance 2.0 (OD4SG 2.0) project aims to strengthen the governance of sports organizations through the collection, analysis, and exploitation of open data. The initiative promotes the strategic use of information to improve transparency, accountability, integrity, and the quality of decision-making within the sports sector.

To achieve this, the project has developed a digital platform that enables the collection of relevant data on different dimensions of sports governance through structured questionnaires. This information is subsequently transformed into indicators, analyses, and actionable insights that facilitate the assessment of governance practices and the identification of improvement opportunities for participating organizations.

The platform provides an objective basis for monitoring the evolution of different aspects of sports governance, supporting more efficient, accountable, and impact-oriented management models. At the same time, it helps foster a data-driven decision-making culture by promoting comparability and knowledge sharing among organizations across the sector.

Eurecat participates in the project through its Digital Health Unit, which is responsible for project coordination and management, as well as the methodological design, technological development, and deployment of the platform. The unit also leads the publication and maintenance of the digital solution, ensuring the tool’s availability, scalability, and sustainability throughout the project.

OD4SG 2.0 contributes to the digital transformation of the sports sector by leveraging open data as a driver for more transparent, participatory, and evidence-based governance.
