SKIWEARABLE II

2019-06-27T07:18:36+02:00

Innovative Gamification for Skiers system that will enable skiers to compete with each other, climb up the resort’s ranking and win prizes for their achievements and classifications. SKIWEARABLE II is a continuation of the SKIWEARABLE project, which developed a silicone wristband that allowed skiers to access mountain resorts and monitor their physical activity. SKIWEARABLE II has enhanced the wristband by implementing a gamification system with a potential market of 100 million skiers over 5,000 ski resorts. As well as being a gamification device for skiers, thanks to the development of new Big Data tools for the [...]

GESCAL

2019-06-26T11:55:16+02:00

A solution for quality management in a production process and critical launch phases, which is oriented at sharing the information obtained between the components supplier and the end customer, with the objective of mitigating cost overruns and impacts on production. During the Gescal project, the main characteristics of product quality were sensorized/monitored within the components manufacturing process, and a system was developed for managing quality control information according to the customer’s standards. The system acts immediately in the event of quality deviations, therefore sharing real-time information with the customer. The solution combines the technologies of big [...]

APPERVITI

2019-06-26T11:31:19+02:00

A service (app server) for managing farms and streamlining the process of identifying workers who work on the farm. The APPERVITI project provides technicians and managers of wine-production companies with a way to facilitate the identification of every operator hired to perform specific tasks in the field. These operators are usually hired en masse to perform certain agricultural tasks (such as pruning or grape harvesting). Currently, company managers do not have flexible tools that allow technicians and foremen to verify that an operator who is present in the field is actually the hired operator; that allow [...]

Skiwearable is a silicone bracelet to allow skiers access to ski resorts and monitor their physical activity. The wearable is able to obtain records of the physical activity and position of the skier without disturbing the skier. Skiwearable incorporates a GPS for tracking skiers and RFID tags. The device also connects via Bluetooth with an app where you can download the data from the trackings and is compatible with the Skitude platform, the partner in charge of the product’s exploitation. Compared to other physical activity monitoring devices, Skiwearable is specifically designed for skiers. Among its benefits, [...]

DEFRAIL

2019-09-04T09:26:59+02:00

Feasibility study for the identification of pre-frailty and frailty conditions in elderly people. The Defrail project will allow designing a preventive intervention to delay or prevent their loss of functionality. The analysis will serve as a basis to develop, in a second phase, a simple and intuitive mobile application for the supervision of the physical activity of the elderly by health, sports and social entities. The tele-monitoring app will allow the realization of an early intervention to prevent, reverse and decrease the progress of frailty in the elderly. The objectives of the project are aligned with [...]
