LIFE PRISTINE was presented during the IDEAS25 Conference on innovation, taking place at the Baluarte Conference Center in Pamplona (Spain) on June 26-27.

On June 27, Mar Micó, project partner from ACCIONA, hosted the talk “LIFE PRISTINE pursues the elimination of Contaminants of Emerging Concern in the water cycle”, where she introduced the project’s integrated solution designed to eliminate up to 80% of emerging contaminants from water streams.

She also shared the outcomes of the initial water analysis campaign conducted at both wastewater and drinking water demonstration sites. Additionally, she presented preliminary findings from the ongoing demonstration at a wastewater treatment plant in Spain.

The presentation was included within block 5 of the conference “Water, society and environment”. After her keynote, Mar Micó engaged in a round table with the rest of the speakers, moderated by LIFE PRISTINE partner Carlos Lardín, from the Regional Entity for Sanitation and Wastewater Treatment of Murcia (ESAMUR).

IDEAS25 explored how the most innovative water cycle organisations are addressing challenges like digital transformation, legislative requirements, and environmental and social impact.

The event was organised by the Spanish Association for Urban Water (DAQUAS), with the collaboration of Navarra de Infraestructuras Locales S.A. (NILSA) and the Pamplona Region Municipal Association (MCP) as host entities.
