The Safe&Clean project was presented at the 4th Workshop of the AIAS Technical Committee XTREMA, organised by the Polytechnic of Torino and held on 13 – 14 April in Torino, Italy.
Stefano Bucci, project partner from Centro Ricerche Fiat and PhD student at the University of Turin, delivered an oral presentation titled “Low CO₂ steels for safety application in the European automobile”, highlighting the main objectives and approach of the Safe&Clean project.
The workshop focused on the integration of experimental testing and numerical simulation in high strain-rate events, such as impacts. It brought together researchers and experts working on mechanical characterization, constitutive modelling, and finite element analysis of materials subjected to dynamic loading.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss current challenges and future developments in the field of materials at extreme conditions.
