The 9th TurisTIC Forum, the congress on the application of ICTs in tourism organised by the Eurecat technology centre, will bring together experts in Barcelona in June to address the challenges facing the industry in the post-Covid-19 scenario. Topics are to include destination management using artificial intelligence, digital nomads and emerging opportunities and also NextGeneration EU recovery funds for digital transformation and ecological transition in tourism.

The event, which will be held on 22 June in a hybrid format, has announced the deadline for its Call for Projects in technological applications designed to help manage destinations and tourism marketing with special emphasis on the challenges posed in post-pandemic tourism. The Call for Projects will be open until 18 April and the successful applicants will be able to talk about their innovative initiative at the congress.

The TurisTIC Forum will gather tourism enterprises, innovation and technology development firms and public institutions, organisations and trade associations specialising in these industries.

The 9th congress is sponsored by the Catalan Government’s Ministry of Business and Knowledge, Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Provincial Council.
