Development of an innovative personalized audiovisual medical informed consent technology, validated with artificial intelligence and protected with blockchain (smart contracts).
The solution of the AICIBLOCK project covers the legal aspect of patient information, improves the security and traceability of the consent process, reduces clinical management problems and malpractice expenses, as well as decreases the time of physical contact between staff healthcare and patients in primary care.
AICIBLOCK addresses the critical issue in the medical field of effective understanding of informed consents. These documents, crucial to protecting patient rights, are often lengthy and difficult to comprehend.
The innovation lies in the use of audiovisual information, natural language processing (NLP) techniques, reasoning systems and deep learning, as well as eye tracking and facial recognition to assess patient understanding. This revolutionary approach promises to transform medical practice and improve informed decision-making.
The AICIBLOCK consortium is made up of the technology company DIGIMEVO, Eurecat and the Hospital San Carlos Health Research Institute.
In the case of Eurecat, the Digital Health Unit develops the technology that makes it possible to personalize the understanding of the documentation linked to informed consents.
