Definition, structure and validation of the interconnected knowledge space foreseen by the European Research Area (ERA) Hubs Initiative.
The ERA_FABRIC project adopts three different and intertwined dimensions, all of them relevant for the elaboration of policies, that act as a structuring principle for the community that will be built during the project:
- Knowledge ecosystems by fostering the dynamic interaction of R&D and innovation actors at regional and multiregional levels, taking into account the different knowledge and cultural contexts, as well as the alignment of research focus and industrial needs.
- Multi-stakeholder platforms by bringing together the representatives of the various involved interest groups in a seamless and uninterrupted discussion and deliberation on strategic priorities, actions and results evaluation.
- Policy co-creation toolbox through a transformative set of measures and tools operating in a middle ground needing to be configured as a distinct space from both the EU and the MS/Regional levels, historically presided over by ad hoc sets of instruments.
Through these three interoperable dimensions, the ERA Hubs initiative will become path-breaking and impactful at the broad EU level.
Eurecat participates in the ERA_FABRIC project through its Consultancy Department, which leads the creation of a catalogue of measures and tools that can easily be replicated and implemented in other ecosystems.
The ERA_FABRIC consortium, coordinated by Attractiveness Research Territory (ATR-ET), is made up of 11 partners from nine different European countries.
