Robotrack eurecat

The general objective of the Robotrack project is the development of a new, economically and environmentally sustainable continuous track concept, designed especially to establish an innovative set-up process, completely automated through a new robotic system.

This general objective responds to a strategic need of the current Spanish railway productive model, which greatly depends on the foreign market, by creating a new production chain, increasing competitiveness and improving industry exportation.

Consortium formed by: VIAS, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, CEMOSA, Polytechnic University of Valencia and Eurecat.

Project financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in the framework of the Collaboration-Challenges call for proposals of the State Programme for Research, Development and Innovation aimed at Societal Challenges, within the framework of the State Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Plan 2013-2016, with the main objective of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research.
