Digital growth initiatives for the transformation of the social economy.
The DIGISET project supports social SMEs on their way to digitalisation, particularly in terms of AI, data management and new business models.
Based on the identified needs for their digitalisation and training, DIGISET prepares and implements tailor-made training programmes, with both a national and transnational scope. Alongside training, support is provided to social entities to ensure the implementation of digital tools, providing financial support to carry it out.
In parallel, DIGISET also supports enablers who make the social economy possible, as they need to improve their skills and services to support social SMEs using technology, developing technological skills, implementing innovative technological solutions and providing financial support.
On behalf of Eurecat, the centre is involved through the following departments and technological units:
- The Consultancy Department leads the mapping and adaptation of digital solutions and training materials in digitalisation and AI for social economy companies and the entities that support them. It also ensures the establishment of technological agreements between social SMEs and solution providers and will collect the lessons learned from the project to develop policy recommendations to improve practices and meet the needs of the sector.
- The Big Data & Data Science Unit provides skills in computational social science, AI and sociotechnical issues to support the digitalisation of social organisations.
The DIGISET consortium is made up of seven organisations from six different European countries involving a multidisciplinary team with experience in artificial intelligence, digitalisation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and social impact.
