AI training and guidance to accelerate the digital transformation of companies and public administrations in Catalonia.

DIH4CAT AI Connect is a regional innovation ecosystem that aims to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) among Catalan SMEs, start-ups, industrial companies, and public administrations.

The initiative acts as a one-stop shop for a set of advanced technological services: diagnosis and consultancy, testing with high-level infrastructures, training, business model advice, and connection with European funding.

This project continues the work started by the Digital Innovation Hub of Catalonia (DIH4CAT), launching a new strategic phase to drive advanced digitalisation, accelerate AI adoption, and consolidate the network over the next three years.

DIH4CAT AI Connect positions AI as a core integrating element across the hub’s six technological nodes: Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics, Cybersecurity, Smart Connectivity, Additive Manufacturing, Photonics, Supercomputing and Artificial Intelligence.

This strategic commitment allows companies to explore, test, and adopt AI solutions in sectors such as industry, health, agrifood, and mobility. The hub provides end-to-end support for organisations throughout their digital transformation, from identifying initial needs to the final implementation of solutions. At the same time, it bridges the Catalan business community with key European AI innovation networks and infrastructures, establishing the region as an international reference hub.

Eurecat plays a central role in the project. Its Consultancy Department validates and manages the technical support services catalogue, while the Training Department equips public entities with the digital skills necessary to modernise their operations.

The centre also leads the Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics nodes (through the New Manufacturing Processes and Robotics & Automation units) and the Artificial Intelligence node (via CIDAI). Between 2022 and 2025, Eurecat was responsible for 70% of all delivered technological services, supporting more than 460 Catalan companies within the DIH4CAT framework.

The consortium is coordinated by the Government of Catalonia through ACCIÓ and brings together fifteen partners with complementary expertise, including technology and research centres, universities, business schools, and industrial associations.
