The project develops an integrated solution to support tourism accommodation establishments in their transition towards more sustainable management models through the combination of digital self-assessment tools, mentoring methodologies and intelligent -support and recommendation systems for the implementation of improvement initiatives related with sustainability.
The solution enables businesses to assess their sustainability maturity level in line with the main international standards in the sector, identify areas for improvement and receive tailored recommendations aimed at facilitating the implementation of sustainable practices across environmental, social and economic dimensions. In addition, it incorporates artificial intelligence-based functionalities that help interpret assessment results and guide establishments in defining action plans adapted to their specific needs and capacities.
The project combines the technological development of the platform with validation in real-life environments, involving tourism accommodation establishments from different Mediterranean territories to ensure that the tools developed are practical, accessible and aligned with the operational reality of small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector.
Eurecat participates in the project through its Technology Consulting Unit, combining the expertise of the Culture and Tourism line, responsible for supporting and validating the solution with participating businesses, and the Digital Transformation line, responsible for developing the self-assessment tool and integrating the artificial intelligence components.
The project consortium is led by the Università degli Studi di Urbino “Carlo Bo” (Italy) and includes 3win Action ΚΟΙΝΣΕΠ (Greece), Univerza na Primorskem (Slovenia), SMOC (Bosnia and Herzegovina), EPLO (Greece), ZADRA NOVA (Croatia), ADOCC-SDFD – ADOCC – Sud de France Développement (France), KACG – Camping Association of Montenegro (Montenegro), AMBIT (Spain) and Eurecat (Spain), bringing together organisations specialised in tourism sustainability, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, certification, business innovation and territorial development.
