The SuPReAM project took part in NORDTRIB 2026, held from June 9–12 at the City Centre Campus of Tampere University in Finland. The event brought together over 150 international tribology experts for four days of scientific exchange.
Representing the project, Amadeu Concustell (Eurecat) presented the study «Surface Engineering of Additively Manufactured Injection Moulds for Enhanced Tribological Performance», co-authored with E. Vidales, M. Planells, A. Barrero, M. Vilaseca, G. Grabulosa, R. Bonet, J. Orrit, and M. Dias. His talk focused on applying advanced surface engineering to improve the wear resistance, friction control, and overall durability of 3D-printed injection moulds.
By tailoring surface properties for complex additively manufactured geometries, the research advances SuPReAM’s goal of delivering high-performance, long-lasting industrial solutions.
