Knowledge and innovation community designed to strengthen and transform Europe’s Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI).
The EIT Culture & Creativity initiative, promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), connects creatives and organisations to Europe’s largest innovation network.
The objectives of the EIT Culture & Creativity are:
- Empower and connect creatives and innovators across Europe and contribute to a more resilient, sustainable and transformational sector.
- Unlock the latent value of a multitude of small cultural and creative stakeholders through technology transfer, improved cross-sectoral collaboration and their effective integration in production value networks.
- Strengthen artistic-driven innovation as an indispensable part of the European Innovation Ecosystem, as well as the appreciation and anchoring of European values and identities.
- Harness the unique position of the cultural and creative sectors and industries to facilitate Europe’s Green, Digital and Social transitions.
Eurecat is one of the founders and host of the south-west co-location centre (CLC) of the EIT Culture & Creativity. This centre will serve as a key node to connect with the regional actors of the Knowledge Triple Helix within Spain, Portugal and the south of France.
The EIT Culture & Creativity is made up of 50 members from 20 European countries.
